this scene makes me feel so many things #projecthailmary I love it

1. In Grace's flashback, Yao told Grace "you just need to find someone to be brave for!" which stopped Grace in his tracks like a deer in headlights because who would that be for him? He doesn't have anyone he would die for, not yet.

2. Then we see him pondering "Who would you die for?" inside the Hail Mary.

3. Aaaaand then immediately Rocky bursts into Grace's life & home because the universe had already found Grace someone to be brave for & it was his soulmate Rocky ❤️‍🩹

i never really got the common phrase used in horror of "deafening silence,except for the sound of their heartbeart in their ears" until i watched this scene.phm builds up tension so perfectly that even if its not a horror movie it captures that atmosphere perfectly for a few mins

Completely and utterly endeared by the concept of Eridians getting cuteness aggression with Grace. Here's a soft, pliable creature who likes to cover itself in soft material and snuffles in its sleep and has a squishy carapace and likes cuddling. Grace is their space cat.
