@Gnomonknows@Collector_Crypt I’m not, but I was an early user of the platform, and I used to game it the exact way you’ve described.
While this admittedly was fun - I could keep all low value commons in vmy wallet to ensure the EV was high and effectively “snipe” epics, it wouldn’t make sense today.
@Gnomonknows@Collector_Crypt Because if I was a competitor, I’d game the gacha as described and fill my own inventory, to then sell at a higher margin (less EV).
Does that make sense? The landscape wasn’t always like this, but that’s where we’re at now.
@Gnomonknows@Collector_Crypt Well, you’re hoping to game it. When in reality that’s not something that they’ve ever promised you could do.
All I’m trying to say is, if you ran a business, would you allow users to deliberately reduce your margins by gaming the system?
@Gnomonknows@Collector_Crypt Point still stands. If people can abuse the inventory by holding on to slabs for a higher EV, they will. It makes zero sense for a business to incentivise this.
This used to be a thing - it was a race to hit as close to $58 EV on the $50 gacha as possible. Their margin got nuked
@Gnomonknows@Collector_Crypt You basically just want to game the gacha when inventory is low 💀 we used to do this back in the early days, and ofc it was nice, but it was a deliberate tactic to manipulate EV and therefore reduce their margin to near zero.
There’s no reason they should allow you do this.
@STRESS3D_@buejstz@official_BCG_EN I think people bitch about this stuff way too much. “Boohoo, what about us collectors” :(((
Just find a store to pre-order from, it’s not that hard.
