Paying £4k a year in property taxes for an expensive property, for someone who bought the property in 1975 for peanuts is a very different proposition to a young couple wanting to buy a flat in London on a deposit they took 7 years to save, now faced with the prospect of paying thousands in property taxes as well as service charges and ground rent. There’s no way property values don’t fall if this comes in to play.

One of the most press-resistant midfielders the Premier League has ever seen. 🪄
But this is what I lovedddd about us growing up and our community/culture. It was a moment in time. Just like the small Just Do It bags that hardly fit our books, fat ties, Tigger pouches, Kickers. It was a subculture of style. Those eras will never be replicated again lol
Hi I just inherited £50k which happened to be enough to clear my credit card debt and put a deposit on a house, something I have wanted to do for a decade.
But then I lost it on a 50/50 coin toss to turn it into £1m.
Never mind. At least now statisticians won't say I'm stupid.
Sometimes i think you lot shout free so & so for attention, it probably makes you feel cool to be associated with criminals because why else would you want them free after a shooting???

Love this haha.
Similar ish story to Endrick…
I was with Palmeiras for a U16 premier league academy tournament. We got them invited and I was with them that week.
They rang me and said “we’re bringing a 13 year old, he’s called Endrick.”
Knowing how good Palmeiras academy was, I was thinking “wow this kid must be insane if they’re brining a 13 year old who will be going up against 16 year olds”.
First game of the tournament. We’re playing either Stoke or Reading I can’t quite remember.
Ten mins to go, we’re losing 2-1. Endrick has been warming up and is told he’s coming on.
I remember thinking “here we go, let’s see.”
Within ten seconds of him coming onto the pitch, he gets the ball on the left hand side of the half way line, drives forward through the middle of two players, shifts it on the outside of a third, and then finishes across goal, bottom corner to equalise…within 10 seconds of him coming on…a 13 year in a U16 premier league academy tournament.
It was insane. Palmeiras went on to win that game 3-2.
