Here’s an uncomfortable truth about the Epstein accusations:
We only find them morally reprehensible because of Christianity.
Before the spread of Christianity, “civilized” Greek and Roman elites openly flaunted underage s*x slaves. This was normal.
Emperor Hadrian built an entire city in honor of his favorite boy.
We’ve heard for decades that Christianity is a barrier to moral progress, but if you undercut the moral foundations of Christianity from the West, culture reverts back to pagan norms.

@LostMemeArchive This color scheme is sorely missed. Felt like you were operating a machine of war lol. Fit the brand so well. The industrial aesthetic of steam/valve in this era is under appreciated.
Abigail Shrier: "The number one symptom of depression is rumination, pathologically obsessing over your pain. Getting out of your house and accomplishing anything is good for you, sitting around, talking and thinking about your problems is a bad habit."
@M1NDW4RD3N@KeithAdNauseam @J0RDANSCHAEFFER It’s honestly funny because since Jesus had 100% creative control of any given parable, you’d think he would indicate some puppetry going on in at least one of them.
@M1NDW4RD3N@KeithAdNauseam @J0RDANSCHAEFFER The prodigal rejects the way of his father -> lives how he wants to live (in sin) -> finds himself in the squalor his choices — then it forks —
He could:
A) return humbly and lowly — “come to his senses”
B) pridefully sear his conscience
Where was the father’s theater here?
@M1NDW4RD3N@Pastor_ChrisH@theo_bruv “I don’t think we should listen to anybody telling us what their unknowable God is like.”
Don’t worry, that’s just “one of the great mysteries of God” talking. 🥲

The child’s choice is not a negative reflection of the father’s sovereignty or perfect will for their child.
It’s the child’s fault they are fallen and rebelling. By that they must repent to receive the free grace of God. It is a clear and earnest reality check, not a work.
@rootcausesleuth@God_Is_Sovreign@HwsEleutheroi 1/2
Yes. Why would someone who we know as “The Father” not have the same “type” of sovereignty of a father.
A child rebels. They can either:
A) humble themselves to their father’s goodness and wisdom
or
B) fling themselves into the hubris of further sin and delusion
@PeteHegseth@Southcom “Franklin could read the news and drink a pack of 6 brews, but Franklin could not stand the Central and South American drug cartels…”
@coffeeguy_77 Graded on faith in the Lord, our first commandment. I believe the size of a mustard seed seems to be enough to move a mountain, so by the measure of scripture, very little faith is required to be renewed and sanctified by the Holy Spirit, made possible and saved by Christ alone.
