The waitlist is actually all about provisioning your Apple ID for access to the Siri models in the PCC. In order to ensure a smooth launch in the fall, Apple needs to understand exactly how real-world use puts loads on the servers, and tune the algorithms that spin up more physical hardware, etc.

This is their only opportunity to get these measurements under controlled conditions. Please be patient, knowing that we’re all helping to ensure a great public launch in the Fall.
