I think the ending was a great way to tie up the movie since it was building up to the march and them wanting the right. It was nice to see their resilience pay off even though they had numerous setbacks. #MESelma18

@minna_behnan Yeah, I agree. Right from the start, we see that in her like when she was able to answer questions that were apparent that most citizens would not know the answer to. Even though she was denied, she put up a strong fight which I think speaks greatly to her character. #MESelma18

When King continues the march, it is noted how a third of the participants are Caucasian which shows how the moment had been gaining support by a wider range. I think that the cause becomes strengthened due to this growing support. #MESelma18

Young says "You take 2 of them, and they take 10 of us" which I think really speaks to how unbalanced the playing field was. The troops had so many weapons to shut the marchers down but the marchers had nothing and were trying to stay non-violent. #MESelma18

I think it is important to know how everyone has hesitance because even King was thinking about pushing the march back but he didn't. He kept going which was necessary to help get their message across. #MESelma18

It was great to watch the turn of events by the end of the movie because Jim ended up buying a house for his family when they weren't even able to afford the apartment at the start of the movie. It was a crucial point to him that he kept the promise he made to his son.

This shows how big of a concern this was not only for him but to so many that there was a crowd outside waiting to be chosen for the job. It was easy to replace an so employee which meant that one worked even with an injury. #MECinderellaMan17

Braddock continued to do labor work even with an injury on his hand. He went as far as to hide it from the employer because we saw how high the unemployment rate was at the time so it was necessary to him to keep the job in order to provide for his family. #MECinderellaMan17

In the movie, we see Mike go to Hooverville and it was chaotic with places burning and people getting hurt. This shines a light on how poor the conditions were for the homeless, whom Hoovervilles were consisted of, especially during the Great Depression. #MECinderellaMan17

It was incredible what Braddock was able to accomplish. He never let any obstacles hold him back especially in the last fight where he ended up winning. He even went on to do more such as serving in WWII and helping build the Verrazano Bridge. #MECinderellaMan17

The Great Depression had such a big impact, especially on families. It was heartbreaking to see their son stealing to get food to ensure they wouldn't send him away. This just shows how other families had been breaking apart. #MECinderellaMan17

@josika20 Lincoln did call for the abolition of slavery but he was more logical when he approached it. He did not want to be completely radical such as Garrison and call for immediate abolition because the South would not agree to that. He rather said that there should be restrictions.
