Somebody said, “One thing I love about God is, He'll bring you out of situations you got yourself into; and still not hold it against you”.
And I felt that!
Staci Turner, the Chief Medical Examiner in Mississippi, needs to be thoroughly investigated. Every case she’s ruled as accidental, undetermined, or suicide involving Black people should be reexamined immediately.
Take Trey Reed; found hanging on the Delta State University campus. She ruled it a suicide. But an independent investigation later determined it was a homicide after discovering blunt force trauma and bruising all over his body.
Nolan Wells was ruled a drowning almost immediately after his body arrived. His family has now demanded an independent investigation.
Damion Cameron’s death was ruled undetermined after a deadly confrontation with law enforcement left him with internal neck bleeding.
And Shannon Wilson was embalmed without his family’s permission; destroying critical evidence that could have shown he was murdered.
This is exactly what institutional racism looks like. When I post about it, this is the kind of thing I’m talking about.
They call us racist for exposing their racism!
Girls should know where they are. Today we taught the girls how to identify mile markers and use them when calling 911. A lot of people drive past these signs every day without realizing they could help save their life. If you’re on the highway and there are no landmarks around, a mile marker can help emergency responders find you much faster. These are the kinds of things we teach because emergencies don’t wait until you’re prepared. Knowing where you are can make all the difference when every second counts
The older i get, the more i realize that someone making time for you is one of the clearest signs they care. Everyone is busy. Everyone has responsibilities and their own battles to fight. So when someone consistently chooses to spend their time with you, checks on you, and makes space for you in their life, it means something. time is one thing we can never get back, and people don't give it away lightly.
He was burning alive, yet he kept re-entering the burning Bradley Fighting Vehicle until all six soldiers and the Iraqi interpreter were safe. Burns covered 72% of his body. His first words were, ‘How are my boys?’ He died three weeks later. It took 16 years for him to receive the Medal of Honor. HIS NAME IS SERGEANT FIRST CLASS ALWYN C. CASHE, NEVER FORGET!!!
The HIV, HPV, AIDS, Herpes, & Chlamydia rate is way too damn high to be having hoes, side pieces, and unprotected sex with random people just cause you're "horny". Sex requires TRUST. You're trusting another individual with your body, and essentially your life.
If you work, you absolutely should vacation. A vacation well and vacation often. Our experiences should include the joy of living so find out what that means for you.
