Amazing opportunity for the WNBA commissioner to be like:

"OK, deal. You lost us $40 million last year, each of you owe us $231K"

The brand was at an all-time high, take us back.

I mean she kind of does but everyone else deserves to get paid hourly.

Your ability to stay focused and optimized when nothing is going your way is your competitive advantage.

The Heat deserve to be the laughing stock of the NBA. Bill Simmons is right. They’re the Kings East.

YOU LIED ABOUT YOUR OFFSEASON PLANS
YOU LIED ABOUT YOUR WHALE HUNTING
YOU LIED ABOUT JIMMY BUTLER
YOU LIED ABOUT YOUR COMPETING ROSTER

[Miami HEAT UK 🇬🇧 @TheMiamiHeatUK]

So… here we go 😢

I fell into this sport and the Miami Heat in 2016 out of nowhere. So my timeline missed all the success, the championships, the parades.

My first season following was that amazing 30-11 season and despite that team being incredibly fun and culture personified, it was led by B- players on overpaid contracts.

Then Jimmy Butler joined.

2 NBA Finals & 3 ECF’s in 5 years with a supporting cast of Bam, Tyler, Dragic, Meyers, Tucker, Iguodala, Nunn, Crowder, Caleb, Strus, Gabe, Duncan etc.

A player that exceeded every inch of every expectation of him. A player that was brought in to help you get the next guy, whom for various front office failures, never did arrive.

When I think of the emotion of my great sporting memories, it’s always a Jimmy Butler one that races to the top and for me, that’s what sport is all about. The joy, the passion, the emotion of saying that’s MY guy on MY team.

It was a sad final month of Jimmy’s tenure in Miami, but that’ll never cloud the greatness and supreme joy that I witnessed watching him play for us. Nothing erases that. Ever.

So Jimmy, thank you for:

That slump over the Fence v LeBron
‘I OWN YOU’ v Jrue
That 56 point HIMMY game v Bucks
Blowing a kiss to TJ Warren
Fighting the Pels
‘I told you I was right’ in the bubble
Face to face with Grant Williams
Bottom lip sulking to Randle
Numerous Chris Paul altercations
‘Meet me in the tunnel’ vs Denver
Giving Horford his timeout
Wearing Spo’s jersey after taking ECF
Strus finger salute
Did they beat the Miami heat? Aight then
‘Tobias Harris over ME’
Getting a fine for the bench ‘thrust’ cele

Top 5 player in Miami Heat history. Thank you for making us relevant again.

You always had a chance when Jimmy Butler was at the wheel.

Heat legend forever #22 🔥
