During today’s 48th Regular Session, the Sangguniang Panlungsod formally declared Senator Bam Aquino as an Adopted Son of the City of Naga.

The resolution recognizes his leadership in education, youth empowerment, entrepreneurship, good governance, and local development—from championing the Free College Law, Go Negosyo Act, and Youth Entrepreneurship Act to pushing for stronger local action on the country’s classroom shortage.

The recognition also reflects the trust of Nagueños. Senator Bam emerged as Naga City’s top senatorial choice in the 2025 elections with 69,086 votes.

More than receiving their support, he showed up for Naga. He personally visited local public schools, witnessed the flooding, damaged classrooms, and shortage of safe learning spaces, and brought these realities into his work in the Senate.

This is the kind of leadership Naga chooses to honor—leadership that listens, acts, and turns public problems into policy.

Senator Kiko Pangilinan extended his condolences and called for the immediate and proper implementation of the Juvenile Justice Law after the tragic shooting incident that occurred at San Jose National High School in Tacloban City on Monday.

Two Grade 9 students, ages 14 and 15, opened fire inside the school, leaving three students dead and seven others wounded.

"Nananawagan ako ng mabilis, ganap, at tamang pagpapatupad ng Juvenile Justice Law. Hindi pwedeng pakawalan ang mga suspek kahit menor de edad. Dapat dumaan sila sa prosesong itinakda ng batas," he stated.
