I’ll die on the hill that they never should’ve brought back Roxas, Xion or Namine.
The KH2 ending showing Sora as Roxas and Kairi as Namine was the perfect bittersweet send off to a tragic tale befitting of their monikers. Nobodies.
That’s all they were and should’ve been.
When your parents aren’t abusive anymore and wanna act like nothing happened but the underlying psychological damage is still there fucking up your life
Tetsuya Nomura says the script of Kingdom Hearts IV is just under twice as long as Kingdom Hearts III.
There were parts he wanted to make even longer.

@yeo_sage LITERALLY ME. I absolutely loved HSR on release and put a decent amount of money into it, too, but then I was like, "Man, these guys could make something awesome if they just dropped the gacha mechanics." But unfortunately, it prints money.
Seeing some Gacha slander on my timeline, and my take is pretty much this. I can't think of a single gacha game whose gacha mechanics don't get in the way of how great it could have been.
@Ratatonic As someone who loves HSR, the game will never realize even a quarter of the potential of the world it's built because the gacha framework inherently restricts how its world can be developed and explored. And obviously this goes for any other gacha of the same caliber.
