@Darren_Mooney Which is what I love about that early Ditko/Lee run too: it shows what happens when a picked-on kid who dreams of power gets it: he does become heroic, but he also lets his petty/vindictive side out as well now he can’t be beat up by Flash Thompson
@Darren_Mooney It’s also just really fun to use the combination of indefinite article and the proper name of a specific monster (roll with it in Frankie’s case) to refer to an instance of a TYPE of monster: “He’s a Dracula”/“That’s a Frankenstein” lol
@Darren_Mooney No. Except maybe on easy? For me Alan Wake 1 has a deeply interesting story, but just feels so BAD to play, it was a struggle to get through. I think you’d be just as well served watching a recap of it or something lol. FWIW Alan Wake 2 is one of my all time favorite games.
@SheaSerrano Interesting, I feel the opposite: the first Avatar had some obviously groundbreaking shit going on, but felt too boilerplate narratively to fully engage me (but still quite enjoyed it), but Way of Water leveled up every single aspect to an action movie masterpiece
@SheaSerrano Key is to use two hooks moderately spaced when hanging any piece with a wire on the back. Once you get it level on the wall, will pretty much always stay level unless you bump it. Picture hanging’s my trade, and once you figure out how it works, it’s not too tricky
@michaelharriot Socks, purely because Big Sock designed them such that one sock flees containment on average every five loads of sock-containing laundry lol
If you told me a few months ago that there was a movie coming out featuring the French 75, Colonel Lockjaw, the Christmas Adventurers, and Sensei Sergio St. Carlos, I would for sure guess it was directed by the wrong Anderson
@SheaSerrano Forty-five minutes of glorious action and bits, two hours of comically super-redundant exposition and recappery. The bad doesn’t totally negate the good, but it’s s a major bummer nonetheless
You don't get behind-the-scenes beauty like this when the set is all green screens and half the movie was reshot. Hopefully Marvel learn from this...
(*"The Sound of Silence" plays as I remember 'Avengers: Doomsday' is currently in production without a final script or cast")
