2 years. 4 semesters. 1 intersession in Ateneo. Tons of overload (9-12 units per sem). Today, I am celebrating this small victory in my PhD journey!
I am finally done with my coursework🤬🤬 Just a few more requirements to overcome and maybe I can finally stop being a student😅💙
Ayaw ko na talaga sa Pilipinas. If its up to me, I'd like to leave right now. Sad that I need to delay this plan because of the implications of recent life events. Life is just really unfair to some people. What a harsh dose of reality

"A familiar aroma, an evocative song, or even a glimpse of sunlight moving through leaves at a certain angle can summon these memories and bring us back to a loss when it was fresh"
"Grief grabs us in the car on the way home from work or in the shower or while walking the dog, just through having a solitary interlude when feelings rise up, vivid and insuppressible. " (Lustbader, 2023)
Been wallowing in sorrow and allowing myself to get lost in this turmoil called grief.
But I cannot let this continue for too long. I guess it's really time to set the plan of leaving the Philippines for good in motion.
Some nights are just really horribly heavy. How I wish it was that easy to talk to others about grief. I try to write but the thoughts are still too overwhelming to comprehend. I'm glad I have sports and working out but I think I am running out of coping options.
