The people who know me already understand, but I'll explain anyway.
I don't hate men as a whole.
I don't think men are inherently evil.
My empathy for men has put me in many dangerous situations.
My empathy for a man nearly cost me my life, and enabled him to inflict trauma upon me that I still haven't healed from.
I would choose death before I would choose to do the heinous things men have done to me to another person.
If you don't like the facts about male violence and if you don't like hearing a survivor speak up, the solution isn't to silence the survivor.
The solution is to act, to support your community and address the epidemic of femicide & child rape.
Don't brush abuse under the rug, end it.
Be the protector you say you are.
That way you don't have to be ashamed, you can be proud.
@lelulovexo I am so happy that the set of circumstances that led me to you 12 years ago occurred. Because I can't imagine not knowing you. Why anyone could do anything other than show you love and respect is beyond me. And give you all the ๐ฆ๐ฆ you want and need๐๐ฅต (I know what I'd do ๐)
