Presenting MAD: the Martini Database Server.
MAD is designed for the sharing of structures and topologies of molecules parametrized with Martini. MAD also provides a GUI to convert atomistic structures into CG structures and prepare complex systems.

Testing the combination of #MolecularNodes and #blender3d's new simulation nodes in #geometrynodes. Able to get individual amino acids to point wiggle their way to try and get closer to a target, but still obeying their bonds and not breaking anything.
my pc was stuck in bios because defaults mean it can't read my boot disk...
but bios wasnt coming up on my monitor and ipmi defaults arent sensible either.....
why wasn't it coming up on my monitor?

Reviewing a paper; the fact that I have to make an argument for why it is a stupid idea to provide code and simulation input files as a 300 page SI PDF, instead of putting them on GitHub or Zenodo, is making me sad and annoyed at the same time. #compchem#md#PeerReview
OPEN POSITIONS ON WHOLE-CELL MODELLING

#phdlife#compchem When you check your morning mail and your supervisor wants you to do a #MD simulation of a whole cell ... in 10 days and your first thought is
I can now load _basically_ every atom from an entire bacterial cell, into #blender3d and #geometrynodes via #molecularnodes. Each macromolecule is down to atomic detail where available via CellPack, totalling ~250,000,000 points, all rendering (quite quickly) in Cycles #b3d
For all those who are worrying that ChatGPT will result in students using it to cheat on homework and exam, I wanted to point out that this slices both ways. 😉
