Pastor: don’t feel the need to weigh in to every breaking Twitter conversation. Quietly, Pastor the flock of God among you well. We need that, not more hot takes on Twitter.
The consequences of not moving the Truth and Unity Amendment forward far outweigh the *potential* “unintended consequences” of it.
Yes, polity decisions require tradeoffs, but, we must also not let the perfect be the enemy of the good.

@MusingsOnChrist Thank God for the women! Amen! But also thank God Jesus forgave Peter, called him and sent him out. Thank God for His forgiveness of sinful men and His calling and sending them out with the good news!
Hey Christian, don't know who needs to hear this today, but...
Our salvation is by GRACE ALONE
Through FAITH ALONE
In CHRIST ALONE,
According to SCRIPTURE ALONE,
For the GLORY OF GOD ALONE!!!!
Not because of what we have done
But because of what Christ has done
Jesus gave himself for our sins…

Our next Sending Celebration is coming up! Join us at the SBC Annual Meeting in Orlando on Tuesday, June 9 at 10:30am.
As we celebrated the Cullens along with 41 other missionaries in our last Sending Celebration, we look forward to sending more!
I don't have numbers to deem it a “crisis,” but I can tell you this: it is getting increasingly difficult for churches across America to both find and hire pastors.
I do not believe God has stopped calling biblically qualified men to shepherd His church. But something is amiss.
We need to prayerfully do whatever we can to raise up a new generation of young men who are prepared to lead, shepherd, teach, and equip local churches for the work of ministry. The church does not drift toward healthy leadership pipelines by accident. Faithful pastors must intentionally disciple, encourage, and develop future pastors now.
• Pro Mohler Amendment
• Pro Women
• Pro SBC
• Pro local churches
• Pro magistrates promoting Christianity above all others
I'm not sure what category that throws me into, but it shouldn't be a controversial one.
If we want to see our people grow, we have to move them from the pews to the mission field. 🤝
Sharing the gospel is the greatest spiritual catalyst there is. It forces a believer to rely on the Spirit, trust the Word, and develop a heart like Jesus'.

Many have given their lives so you can have the freedom to go to church tomorrow. So dads gather your family and take them to worship King Jesus! What you prioritize they will prioritize.

I am thankful for Dr. @albertmohler and his clarity on this issue. This is a matter in which Southern Baptists agree overwhelmingly.
“While both men and women are gifted for service in the church, the office of pastor/elder/overseer is limited to men as qualified by Scripture” (BF&M 2000).
This is what we confess. On that there is no debate.
The only question has been how to affirm what we confess as a family of churches cooperating together for the glory of God, the good of the church, and the spread of the gospel.
As a member of a church in friendly cooperation with other SBC churches, I call on the men and women meeting in Orlando, Florida this June to vote for this clarifying amendment for the sake of cooperating together on the basis of the truth of Scripture.
