@big_pedestrian Not sure how it is with other transit systems, but SEPTA inherited its infrastructure from past transit agencies in the 60's. They can strive to modernize its system to match the best, but they work with what they were given; meaning they often have specialized work and equipment

Is the seal easily reproducible and easy to distinguish between another state flag to non-flag enthusiasts?

@mr_saltz These numbers are so crazy; not even every bus has this technology equipped. Imagine how many people are parking in front of SEPTA busses and trolleys every day that aren't being recorded??

@TheNerdySteve @wildstwawberry I think people are missing the fact that if you buy a $75 commander deck, you're getting mostly bad cards with maybe one or two $10 cards in there. $400 in singles is hopefully something you can actually use for a long time in multiple decks.

@PhillyGov @mindyisser I mean something we saw in 2024 was the "vibecession". Despite evidence that the economy was actually doing pretty well, people's perception of their day to day lives trumps evidence telling them otherwise.

@mnolangray Sony, unpopularly, has a monopoly on their digital PlayStation storefront. If disc sales are being ended, the only way to purchase new games is based entirely on how they price each game. Not great for consumers or employees in the gaming industry right now.

@Api91Test I mean, ultimately, people with negative preconceived notions of philly don't matter. Philadelphia is growing, the facts don't lie. I believe a lot of the issues that Philadelphia has can be fixed through local politics and winning the state Senate.

@ninthhostage Agreed, especially offices that are created through ballot initiatives. I never hear about them again or what their progress on said issue is.

Feel like a new office for a niche issue is unnecessary? Just hire a few people in an existing dept. to focus on that issue?

@mindyisser I get so frustrated when I read people (like the author) using buzzwords like "the community". It makes it sound like their anecdotal experience and fears reflect the opinions of everyone in the neighborhood. The loudest people often are ill-informed!!

@JohnnyWalsh__ Septa and philly spend so much on their PD's and seem to get minimal return, it's so frustrating to see everyone else doing their jobs except the police departments.

@drussellmrichie As a renter, I am clearly biased in this opinion, but I think there are way too many programs to support homeowners and not nearly enough to support renters. Constantly feels like there is no way to catch up in regards to asset ownership as a renter...
