@DanielCane1970@JPPetersonshow Guido did an interview last week & said “there’s no changing his position when it comes to giving money to a new stadium” so he cannot be flipped. I’m okay with the Rays leaving St. Pete. Tampa won’t get them either. Orlando has the tourist dollars to get it done. See you there!!
@DanielCane1970@JPPetersonshow As councilmen Carlson said he will be voting no which mean the deal is dead and the loss of property taxes will certainly assist in killing this deal. I’m from St. Pete. We can take the new brightline train to Orlando to watch our team in their new stadium I’ll buy you a beer 😁
@Rays4Life13@TBTimes_Rays It honestly doesn’t matter because Tampa city council already told us who would be a no vote at the end. Basically 4 no votes. We’ll have to follow or team in Orlando or if they choose to remain in St. Pete.
@AnthonyClose I always thought parceling out the site would be best. Not sure if it’s best to place a large park near another large park (Campbell Park). However an overpass park similar to Halperin Park in Dallas would be nice between 9th & Street near Orlando Health.
@SperberNicholas@JoshuaWostal Your argument is one sided… a lot of us Tampa residents could give a damn about the Rays. Hope this deal fails and the owners can build their stadium with their money. Or you can go catch a game when they move 2+ hours away in Orlando.
@JoshuaWostal Have the owners invested even a fraction of what they’re asking for in retaining and adding talent? Is St. Pete pressuring them to move? Has attendance not increased since the Trop renovations? Have we seen an actual master plan, or just AI renderings?
@florida_grand Players actually don’t like playing in a fixed roof dome, not even considered real baseball. The biggest lie is the top five destination vs teams like NY, LA, Chicago, Atlanta, SF even Miami, Tampa doesn’t compare or come close to. We haven’t seen REAL renderings yet
