it was cool back in the early 2010s when EA would just choose a couple of CHL future real estate agents/kinesiology majors and give them elite potential so they'd dominate franchise mode
One of the greatest realizations that helps me stay present:
THINGS CHANGE.
Life often changes for the better, but things change.
One minute you're 20, complaining about going to classes.
The next, you're 22 and it's 3am and it's looking like you have to pull an all-nighter.
Then you're 25, you're lost in your career. You don't know what to do with your life and no one is coming to save you.
You're 27 and you're alone in a new city you don't know anyone in.
It's alright, you find your way. You're 30, life is great, but you've decided to take it head on: betting on yourself. No one paying you, no one saving you. It's all up to you.
You handle that (like you always do) and things are great again. But now you're balancing running a business, your health, spending time with friends and family...and you're planning a wedding. Not enough hours in a day.
If you thought time was short, now you've got a baby on the way. Drained of sleep, and yet you still find a way to manage it all.
You ask your Dad for some advice on raising kids. All he says is "enjoy it...those days go fast."
You think back to how fast time has gone. You think back to those simple days in college. Where your biggest responsibility was going to class, having fun, and meeting people.
You might find yourself wishing you would've appreciated that moment just a bit more...instead of searching for the next.
Cause things change. And it all goes fast. And you can never come back to where you are right now.

NYC is absolutely electric right now.
Perfect weather. Knicks in the Finals. Hyrox going on. Interns. Summer Friday. Every bar is buzzing. Everyone is outside.
I honestly can’t remember the city having more energy than it does today
