If your building is demolished even though you had a building permit, sue the state.
Recover compensation for their wrongful authorization.
You know where to look for lawyers who are willing to take this on.
We used to do communal labor
Was it one Saturday of the month or so, several communities come together to clear gutters, clear rubbish, we had Tankas etc.
Now we don’t do it anymore, we just dump refuse and move on
My guy marry fresh, few months in, wifey tells him she is pregnant, homeboy say ‘hmmm’.
The calculations start kick in…..
Money does make things beautiful
You can't be clamoring for a better country while throwing gala wrappers and Pepsi bottles on the expressway because “there are no public bins”. You’re part of the problem
take the Dansoman Sahara down, there are marshlands that have now been sold to people who have filled the site and are building on it. that area is supposed to be drainage system on its own. they literally have gutters that lead nowhere. but they have a MCE !
We have confused visibility with governance. When systems work, politicians don’t need to be at flood sites directing rescue attempts. The proof of their care should be systems that respond effectively. We applaud the spectacle, when we should be demanding systems that work.
The job of government is not just to beg people to behave. The job of government is to build systems that make the right thing easy, the wrong thing difficult and lawlessness expensive. Citizens must be responsible, yes but when the same problems happen every year, it is no longer just about bad citizens. It is about a government that has failed to enforce rules, plan properly and protect the people. We deserve better!
