@BobbyKingDeal Def agree it’s rooted in featurism and I believe that Cynthia would EAT DOWN in the role. But people saying someone doesn’t “look like” a fictional character baffles me. Especially when the actor in question legit has similar features and is of direct African decent…

It’s rooted in featurism. They don’t think Cynthia is pretty enough to play storm and we know why they believe that. There’s always this push to cast an actress with softer features. I think Cynthia would EAT as Storm based off her performance as Elphaba alone.
