Stuart Scott is the greatest to have ever done sports TV, and God rest his soul he’s passed on & ESPN still stands. I knew if little ole me left because we couldn’t agree they’d be ok. I was blessed that I’d be ok too. I get how negotiations work, & I know you can’t take them personally. My goal was to make it a conversation & not extortion. Lucky for me they wanted the same thing.

So many deadlines pushed & patience shown by both sides.i was told that my season ending video may have been a bit much, but I knew I’d said nothing about my personally story there that I didn’t say to them. Contracts are give & get and we both did. What I learned through the process was that I actually work with a lot of people that eff with me, and that’s what I’ll focus on going forward. We back!

I always wan to be respected. It a nonnegotiable to me. I try to reciprocate the same through the way I treat others & work. That’s what my new contract with ESPN was about. I didn’t need to feel loved & the contract details would dictate my worth there. I wanted to agree to something that gave me a heart of gratitude walking into the building each day.

So I worked for that. I stood on that & here we are. I feel so blessed for my progression. I got a lot of what I wanted, but certainly not all. It was a reminder. You ain’t “him” yet. So the goal remains the same. Do Right And Kill Everything. The energy is different but the grind is now! See y’all. EVERYWHERE!
