You’re in a conversation, and someone says, "People can’t help being gay, it’s genetic."

What would you say?

For years, scientists searched for a single gene that determines sexual orientation, but that search has largely failed.

Today, the question isn’t whether there’s a “gay gene,” but whether genetics play any role at all, and if so, how much. Yet many still talk as if this is settled science. It’s not.

Our culture says: "My body. My choice."

God says something radically different:
Your body is a gift from the God who made you and loves you.

That's why we don't need to remake ourselves, redesign ourselves, or transform ourselves into something God never intended.

Our culture often treats love and approval as if they're the same thing.

They're not.

God loves us unconditionally—even when we rebel against Him. But His love is so great that He refuses to leave us in our sin.

Real love doesn't affirm everything we desire.

Real love points us to Jesus.

Every cell in the human body is chromosomally male or female (typically XY or XX), with rare genetic disorders that do not redefine sex.

This isn’t complicated, and it isn’t subjective.

Our self-perception cannot change biological reality. Sex is an objective, external truth; not something we create or redefine.

Yet many today claim that sex is not objective, but arbitrary.

Many assume it is, especially if someone is born with certain predispositions.

But being born with a predisposition doesn’t mean your life is predetermined.

In fact, the research challenges the idea that sexual orientation is fixed and unchangeable.

Dr. Lisa Diamond, a feminist psychologist and self-identified lesbian, has published extensive research showing that sexual orientation can be fluid over time, especially among women.

Jesus doesn't just defend marriage. He defines it.

In Matthew 19 and Mark 10, when asked about divorce, He goes back to Genesis:

"God made them male and female." (Gen. 1:27)
"The two shall become one flesh." (Gen. 2:24)

It's not just the two becoming one
But there is no marriage apart from male and female.

Marriage is not a human idea; it's rooted in Creation.

Genesis 1:27 shows that being male and female is inseparable from God’s design in His image.

This verse doesn’t separate the image of God from being male and female. It places them side by side.

Being male or female is not incidental. It is part of how God created us in His image.

Just as the image of God is essential to being human, both physical and spiritual, so is being male or female.

These parallel lines in Genesis 1:27 are intentional. They slow us down and highlight a profound truth:

God created humanity in His image as male and female.
