Why are women so repulsed by the idea of a man they know and trust falling in love with them? The dude knows you and decided none of your flaws are deal breakers, and now he wants to spend his life with you. Why is that a bad thing? How is that, in any sense, a betrayal?
I think a large part of the massive suicide gap between men and women is driven by women’s ability to re-contextualize everything bad that happens in their life as some form of empowerment. It’s a form of lying but a psychologically useful one. A woman loses her job and she writes a blog about how excited she is to explore life as an independent (unrecognized) girl boss, the guy just blows his brains out.
I'm saying this as someone who LOVES Gekishin Squadra. This reveal was TERRIBLE. Less information is BAD. continuing to do these GREEDY practices right in our faces is insulting. I feel incredibly insulted as someone who dedicated so much time and love into this game.
I know it's not all his fault, of course, but it's so curious to me that every game he touches ALWAYS gets actively worse.
At this point, I think he needs to go.
