@JamiePaterson26@wolfeynhlutah I would keep the appeals committee's purview very narrow - review all red cards to deem if it was merited or not, or if a larger suspension is warranted. They already check each red card to see if an additional suspension is warranted, so just add a bit more.
@JamiePaterson26@wolfeynhlutah That's...pretty much what we are saying.
FIFA shouldn't change its processes mid-tournament, but in the future have a committee determine if the foul was actually worthy of a red card.
@wolfeynhlutah Yep, determine if the ref was overzealous or not. Lower it to a yellow or expand the suspension. I would consider doing it for EVERY red card given in the tournament. Have the committee review all of them. There aren't that many.
@wolfeynhlutah That being said, if Poch didn't play him today, the USMNT would gain a TON of respect on the football/soccer community around the world.
@wolfeynhlutah FIFA shouldn't have lifted it, just due to past precedence, but they should make a review committee for red card appeals in the future. I've thought about this for the USMNT, but the margins are SOO thin at this level. I thought maybe leaving him off for the first half.
@tiffanee_dawn They are digging a hole here.
Hopefully what comes of this is an official appeal protocol for red cards in the future, but at the present this is becoming increasingly messy.
Not my preference, but the best for FIFA would have been to maintain the suspension.
@UteFanIvan I highly recommend PT, it helps a lot. I injured my back, similar but not exact same injury, in January and it was about 2 or 3 months of PT before I was feeling closer to normal
