@b_cuse_ Walmart in north Council Bluffs is very accessible by bike as well. There are usually around 2 other bikes already at the rack when I arrive.

@b_cuse_ I’ve done Hy-Vee a few times, and you’re right it’s very accessible but expensive. I prefer Bakers on Saddle Creek. I use the Heartland Bike Share ebikes for my grocery trips, and that gives me enough pace to take the lane on Harney/Farnam.

@b_cuse_ Citynerd actually gave a bit of time to Omaha in his Cities I Don’t About Enough video from this week. Included a nice drone shot of the Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge and a glancing discussion of the traffic calming benefits of angled parking and brick streets in the Old Market.

Looks like you are correct about N. 16th St being a truck route through this stretch. That would explain the lane width. I’d still like to hear from the city why things like planters and parking spaces can’t be rearranged between the travel & bike lanes.

Walking around North 16th St. last night I was struct but the excessive width of the brand new pavement. Come to find out the city is planning to install door zone bike lanes and 12' vehicles lanes. Is this really the best Omaha can do? @b_cuse_ @BikeWalkNE @ModeShiftOmaha

@b_cuse_ @BikeWalkNE @ModeShiftOmaha A 12' land width + a 6' bike lane = an 18' visual clear zone in which the driver will perceive no friction. Speeding will be encouraged and street safety sacrificed. The city is undercutting their own tax base by creating needlessly wide streets instead of placemaking.

@b_cuse_ I had been wondering about the long term status of the bikeway. It’s good that Farnam is being considered as part of the permanent route. For how much money that went into the Gene Leahy / Riverfront renovation they could really stand to improve its accessibility via bike/scooter

@FilmStreams I get that it’s not a sanctioned partnership. When you say “our system does not accept MoviePass” is that an intentional ideological choice by F.S. to prevent use of MoviePass? If so, I’d be curious to hear the reasons. I know I’d visit more if MP worked.

@FilmStreams I sent an email to [email protected] on 6/6/2023 MoviePass being declined. I didn't get a reply. Could you follow up? MP support "our technical team needs to collaborate directly with the theater to ensure that all MP transactions are processed correctly."

@GATOmahaNE Stopped by the downtown library today and noticed that the city has added a flex post protected on street pedestrian lane along the west side of 14th street. The turning radius around the corner has also been improved and the crossing distance has been reduced.

@markbarrington I just got my ADTH today as well. DRM decryption is NOT working here in Omaha. Also having some video stutters and audio sync issues with the Fox 42 netxgentv signal.

@FilmStreams Is there a reason there only appear to be showtimes for 2 of the 4 screens from 2/10 to 2/16? Also, are there no longer showtimes on Mondays?
