"I am 32 flavors and then some..." - Gotta love Ani Difranco. No 1 can be boxed into one flavor, type, or stereotype...

@toddpick @lensweet Makes me question how many of our congregants feel the same way? What if we allowed space to bring their creative gifts?

[Jessica Brendler @jbrendler]

@toddpick @lensweet I've been craving experimenting with "altaring" the space in some way, but its not my church, so I feel I can't

[Jessica Brendler @jbrendler]

@toddrpick @lensweet The church I work at doesn't allow space for creativity. Everything is already jammed so tightly that there is no room

[Jessica Brendler @jbrendler]

@RevCandy @lensweet I hear you! When any ministry is done FOR someone, is it really embraced and lived out? Has to be done BY, not FOR

[Jessica Brendler @jbrendler]

@lensweet "Belief in risen Lord can't be argued or explained into some1. Even JC didn't try that; knew it had 2B seen, touched, experienced"

[Jessica Brendler @jbrendler]

@lensweet Writing a sermon about witnessing - seeing and being the body of Christ in the world

[Jessica Brendler @jbrendler]

@namjojin @lensweet re: Flatlanders - I'm loving the science! About halfway through and wondering how it's moving towards evangelism??

[Jessica Brendler @jbrendler]

@sidanii Most felt they didn't have anything to witness to others about, or that their story wasn't important enough to share :-(

[Jessica Brendler @jbrendler]

@lensweet "Average person, when approached, will be asking, 'How do I feel about this person and what s/he is saying?'' Truth testing...

[Jessica Brendler @jbrendler]

@lensweet "If people are fearful of bringing others to Christ, training programs should be established to teach them basics of discipleship"

[Jessica Brendler @jbrendler]

@lensweet Reading for Sup Min class told of an evangelism committee that essentially created a list of excuses for not witnessing b/c fear

[Jessica Brendler @jbrendler]

@RevCandy I just heard a powerful resurrection sermon (from Alma) on Mark 16:1-8. It's not good news unless you break the silence n share it

[Jessica Brendler @jbrendler]

@lensweet She was struggling with an incomplete model for her relationship with God... we have to teach REAL, HEALTHY relationships

[Jessica Brendler @jbrendler]

@lensweet One of my youth reminded me last Sunday about how many people are afraid to be angry with God...

[Jessica Brendler @jbrendler]

@mmccombs @lensweet Absolutely! Francis of Assisi said, "Preach the Gospel often, and sometimes use words" Living faith is great evangelism

[Jessica Brendler @jbrendler]

@lensweet Yet again, we are called into relationships, building trust and then having a discussion, rather than forcing our beliefs on evry1

[Jessica Brendler @jbrendler]

@lensweet Jesus enters the room w/ the 11 as a PERSONAL witness, shows them his hands, then sits and eats with them, all b/f giving message

[Jessica Brendler @jbrendler]

@lensweet Jesus is calling them to to spread the word of repentance and forgiveness by witnessing... but he demonstrates how to be a witness

[Jessica Brendler @jbrendler]

@lensweet prepping for a resurrection sermon - I read Luke 24:36-48 in a new light - I used to skip over the witness part, but that's it...
