Fans of rival teams laughing at Miami’s pursuit of Dame have zero leverage to be doing so. Especially Eastern Conference teams.

We have more playoff wins than any other team since Jimmy joined.

We find undrafted gems that become genuine difference makers in a playoff series and we do it time and time again and we’ll continue to find them time and time again.

Your laughing through envy because you know we’re a better run team than you.

You dig at Jimmy Butler because he hasn’t won a ring, but it’s the same JB that has seen off Giannis/Middleton/Holiday twice, Tatum/Brown twice, Embiid/Harden once, all with a supporting cast of Caleb Martin, Max Strus and Gabe Vincent (players you’d have only heard of once that series against your team had started) and picked up two ECF’s in the process.

We may not get Dame this season, who knows. But even if we don’t, we’re well set for another run because I know this hurts to hear but…. It’s what we fucking do.

It’s a winning culture and even if the more star-studded rosters will be favoured in the cuteness of the regular season, when those playoffs start, we’re the team your franchise is desperate to defeat, but more desperate to avoid.

The team you fear playing a 7 game series against.

The team who’s success you’re yearning to replicate.

We are the fucking benchmark.
