In 1952, SCOTUS ruled that government could fire communists simply by learning of their affiliation.
In 1967, the guilt by association piece was overturned. Now they can fire communists with proof of nefarious intentions.

James Monroe wanted free black people out of the United States and settled in Africa.
As President in 1819, he signed legislation that put money and government agents on the African coast. That effort produced a permanent settlement, which would become Liberia. They named the capital Monrovia after him.
Monroe did not believe free black people and white Americans could share the same country without permanent friction. He accepted the idea of gradual emancipation with the obligation that the freed population left. He applied the same logic to the eastern Indian tribes and pressed for their removal west of the Mississippi.
Plenty of men from that generation held the same view. Jefferson, Madison, and Clay all supported remigration in different degrees.
We should support remigration of the cheap labor trafficked here over the last 15 years
