@AntiDoc Re: #1. There's a Mike Mentzer vid where he said the close grip palms up pulldown is the best bicep exercise ever. I've incorporated it and am seeing some decent results.
@CoffeeBlackMD IMO there are restaurants where you can take kids and then ones where you shouldn't. Idk if your kids are screaming in a Bdubs, for example, where there's 1000 TVs and shit going on but maybe don't take them to a fine dining/quieter place. that was our motto when ours were young.
for all you know, this could be your last summer.
as homer wrote, you will never be lovelier than you are right now. so tell her she has a pretty smile. get lean or become a unit. find wonder in boarding the airplane. drink more coffee than you need. walk on the beach until your feet hurt. write your girlfriend a note on a tuesday. waste money because its not all about retirement. pull over at the lookout. ask the uber driver about his life. tell the woman in the elevator you like her shoes and mean it. call your mother. ask the waiter his favorite thing on the menu and order that.
theres so much life in the slow moments, and you sprint past it chasing the next thing. but at any time, in any situation, you can find the good. smile. be happy. recognize it for a one of one life experience. what good is walking around a curmudgeon when tomorrow could be curtains.
for heavens sake, flirt with the world.
@bowtiedmeathead I'll date myself. First actual job was a dishwasher at a Friendlys restaurant when I was 14 but I had a paper route when I was maybe 11-12. Not sure if that counts as a "job"
@BowTiedHRT I mostly lurk. I'll like shit that I vibe with and sometimes reply to things but I don't have a lot to say about anything so I don't really post much.
@FattyNoNatty IMO the only problem with an odd number is when they're younger 2 of 3 will get along at any one point and the other is bitching because they're excluded. It's not always the same 2 that get along and sometimes all 3 are cool. But there's a lot of "they wont play with me".
I’m often asked about the pegboard scene in VISION QUEST. That was all me. No stunt doubles or safety measures. I trained for a long time and had to climb it several times to get all the angles. The “trick” is not to over extend, so you’d be pulling up your entire body weight. You have to keep it compact. Arms and elbows tight. 💪🏽
