𝟑𝐯𝟑 𝐟𝐢𝐱𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 - 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐚 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐀 𝐯𝐬 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐁 𝐟𝐢𝐱𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞?

On Sunday 25 January, Norfolk FA partnered with Thetford Bulldogs U6s to showcase what a Team A vs Team B fixture would look like for a U7 fixture within the new Future Fit guidelines.

Currently U7 is played 5v5 with up to 5 subs watching on the side. The 3v3 format allows for a maximum matchday squad of 9 or 12, where all players play all the time, across multiple pitches. No extra space needed, no extra coaches needed, just 3v3 goals.

The video shows Norfolk FA Coach Development lead James Buhlemann take you through pitch set-up, explaining the rules, match play, team rotations and ability match games. This video involved 4 x 8 minute games, game play has speeded up. Orange team had 9 players, blue team had 8 players. Norfolk FA will be partnering with youth leagues who are supporting the Future Fit guidance of 3v3 at U7 to deliver taster events for current U6 teams across the next few months.
