Update: Plano residents will no longer vote on staying in the DART system this May. The new agreement with DART is set to give Plano about $61 million over the course of six years for local transit projects.

After months of negotiations, Plano and other member cities that called for withdrawal elections from the Dallas Area Rapid Transit Agency may move to rescind them following a series of regional meetings this week.

NEW: Plano voters are set to decide in a May 2026 election if the city should withdraw from the Dallas Area Rapid Transit system in favor of alternative transit solutions.

According to unofficial county voting results, Proposition B, C, D and E received 53%, 59% and 51% and 54% of votes against the items, respectively.

Update: Prosper voters rejected four of the town's $192.3M bond propositions, according to unofficial results. The failed measures would have funded a new library, police HQ upgrades, parks facilities and a new public works and parks service center.
