This is the first year that I’m really not that excited for the College Football Playoff. Georgia isn’t nearly as good as last year’s team, Michigan’s top running back is out, Smith-Njigba isn’t coming back, and the Committee didn’t have other teams to consider. #SDSUJMS416

I still think the best team for OBJ is the Buffalo Bills. A receiver trio of Beckham, Diggs and Davis would instantly be the best in the NFL. I wonder if his decision will depend on the health of Von Miller. The Dolphins could also be in the mix for OBJ. #SDSUJMS416

Brand bias has been prominent in the committee’s Playoff rankings, keeping Clemson and USC inside the top 10 while leaving out Ole Miss and UCLA when they only had one loss at the time. Will TCU get passed over by SEC teams Tennessee or LSU in the end? #SDSUJMS416

@MrLiamFarrell For some reason a lot of the big games between conference opponents always take place later in the regular season. That being said, definitely looking forward to Michigan vs Ohio State in 2 weeks and the SEC championship between LSU and Georgia. #SDSUJMS416

I’m extremely interested to see how the playoff committee ranks a red-hot 2-loss LSU team on Tuesday. This team has looked completely different their last 3 games, and if we’re going off the “eye-test” standard then they could easily be sitting at no. 4. #SDSUJMS416

@MrLiamFarrell I think so in the long run but I’m not sure fans need to see less quality games between teams that clearly weren’t contenders. While smaller programs will get better opportunities, expansion still feels like it diminishes the importance of regular season games. #SDSUJMS416

Kind of amazing how many receivers were traded before deadline and the Packers still refused to help out Aaron Rodgers. Honestly I don’t understand this franchise. They’re supposed to be a second-half of the season type team but I don’t know about this year. #SDSUJMS416

Did the 49ers just finesse the Panthers in this trade for Christian McCaffrey? I know he’s only played in 16 games the last 3 seasons but he’s super versatile and dynamic. If Jimmy G can elevate his game, this team has a real chance at the Super Bowl. #SDSUJMS416

@MrLiamFarrell The problem with Thursday Night Football has been scheduling. From the looks of it, we might have 3 more Tank Bowls on TNF this season. Depending on how important it is to the NFL, putting top tier teams and elite QBs on the schedule would easily solve this. #SDSUJMS416

@Liam_Farrell34 Typically when leagues change the format especially in the postseason, it’s because it’s for the better of the sport. MLB got it right with this new format easily, a rare W for them. College football however, I can’t say the same with the 12-team format. #SDSUJMS416

Despite the loss for the Seahawks, I was impressed by Geno Smith today. Played efficiently and made impressive throws. Also starting to see more legitimacy to @Lachlan__Nelson’s theory on short QBs struggling with throws over the middle of the field. #SDSUJMS416
