From Meb's 26 Marathons, Chapter 3, Marathon 3: 2004 Olympic Trials Marathon, Birmingham, AL: “Coach Larsen encouraged me to be patient. ‘Maybe things will turn around’, he told me… Thank God for Bob’s advice, because it paid off in a big way.” 🥈🏃🏾♂️
I don’t usually run with Lauren but making an exception today. I’m running in the Run With Meb Foundation 5K this morning at Al Lopez Park in Tampa. Meb Keflezighi is a good friend and does so much for the youth in our community—I’m excited to help. But it’s a sacrifice for me😁
I am proud to report that today's Run with Meb event was a SUCCESSFUL and EXCELLENT one. Something for everyone. Thanks to all the runners, City of Tampa, volunteers, sponsors and donors, the inaugural Run with Meb benefiting the MEB Foundation was a hit. Thanks everyone!
From Meb's 26 Marathons, Chapter 2, Marathon 2: 2003 Chicago Marathon: Meb's advice for life and for #MarathonMonday in the long run helps if we "quietly and consistently go about [our] business at a sustainable level". Run Steady every #MebMonday
From Chapter 1, Marathon 1: 2002 New York City Marathon: "to be not out of breath, but unable to pick up the pace" describes one of our strangest, but one of our most common feelings on any #MarathonMonday. But sometimes... when we CAN pick it up in Mile 26😀
In the unlikely event I had this chance to train for a 26th consecutive #BostonMarathon, I saved a marathon book I had wanted to read for this year. With 26 fortnights (plus TWO days) in this year, every couple of weeks, I'm reading one chapter by @runmeb
Two weeks ago, I was blessed to begin the #BostonMarathon for my 25th consecutive Boston. Since I feared it might be my last, I focused on finding joy in all of it, but Mon Apr 17 turned out to be my second-favorite #MarathonMonday ever. Thanks @LastCall_LCF
Let's try this again. Although I must say I have heard a lot recently that Twitter is a hot mess. Maybe that's why I might fit in better this time around?
