Think about that trade between the Falcons and Rams during the draft last year.
My understanding from how the room operated in Atlanta during the first round and that pick, looking back it felt like the start of the end for that regime. It was a mess.
The Rams have essentially added one of the best CBs in football by trading away their first round pick, and still have the Falcons pick. Which is 16 spots above the pick they traded.
The #Falcons are expected to hire former #Browns OC Tommy Rees as the new OC for coach Kevin Stefanski, sources say.
The favorite all along, Rees now lands in Atlanta.
INF Ha-Seong Kim sustained a hand injury while in Korea and underwent surgery to repair a torn tendon in his right middle finger. The procedure was performed by Dr. Gary Lourie today in Atlanta, and the expected recovery time is 4-5 months.
Here's the one thing we know about the Falcons.
They will hire somebody for HC. Half the fan base will be good with it, half will be underwhelmed/upset.
I'm gonna keep an open mind no matter what and just wait and see how it goes. There isn't a perfect choice.
Week 13: the Jets beat the Falcons.
- Atlanta would only lose one more time the rest of the season.
- The Jets would not win another game.
If the result flipped in that game, Atlanta would be NFC South champs… and the Jets would have the No. 1 overall pick.
A newsy wrinkle from Bevacqua: As part of an MOU signed last spring, Notre Dame is assured of a CFP berth if it is ranked in the top 12 starting next year.
If this year’s situation unfolds next year, the final at-large team (Miami) would have gotten bumped for No. 11 Notre Dame.
