The Declaration of Rights & Grievances preceded the Declaration of Independence. Had rights been honored & grievances addressed perhaps independence would not have been necessary. To have human rights trampled & concerns be ignored has ever been and is the cause of defection.

Sometimes the truth is stranger than fiction! About fifteen minutes ago (4:45 pm on 06-27-19) I walked out of a door in the White Plains area in Pelzer and was greeted by this sight. I’ve never seen blimps in Pelzer before! They were traveling roughly where Hwy 8 and I-85 cross.

I watched the movie The Hate U Give last night. It was powerful! I am still processing it this morning and probably will be for some time. It isn’t for the faint of heart, but if you like to be challenged to think about issues of race, justice, and equity, I highly recommend it.
