Huss is a Creighton alum who previously worked under McDermott at his alma mater before having tremendous success as a head coach at High Point.

Greg McDermott hasn't thought too in-depth about his approach to the roster once the 15-person limit goes into effect next year.

"It's unfortunate that guys that are currently walk-ons aren't grandfathered into that. I'm not gonna leave a guy that's committed to our program and paid his own way for a few years — I'm not leaving him hanging. If I have to hold a spot, I'm gonna hold a spot. Loyalty has to be a two-way street, not a one-way street."
