Pride in your heritage is fine, but claiming “always second-class” in 2026 is nonsense.
This country ended legal segregation, passed civil rights laws, and poured trillions into affirmative action, Great Society programs, and targeted aid. Black graduation rates, college enrollment, homeownership, and middle-class growth surged post-1960s.
Yet we lowered college/job standards via race preferences DEI explicitly favored less-qualified Black applicants over higher-scoring Whites/Asians. Black History Month gives you a dedicated national celebration. No-cash-bail and soft-on-crime policies were pushed with Black offenders in mind, despite Blacks (~13% population) driving ~50%+ of violent crime stats.
Reality check: Single motherhood hit ~70% of Black births (thanks to welfare incentives), fueling poverty/crime gaps that two-parent Black families largely close. Elite Black success in politics, sports, entertainment, and business proves opportunity exists. Victimhood as “Black first” ignores agency, culture, behavior, and data…real progress comes from merit, stable families, and rejecting grievance. History includes horrors and massive remediation. Move forward.
