Started out in roofing around 8 years ago, worked for a company that didn't care about it's customers or team, So I decided to build Pinnacle Roofing Group.
Just wrapped up at an AI workshop this week; and if there's one thing that's crystal clear, it's this: the pace of change is no longer something you can afford to ignore.
AI isn't a trend. It's not a maybe. It's the new baseline for how businesses operate, compete, and grow.
The question was never *if* you'd need to integrate AI into your business, it's whether you'll do it on your terms or be forced to catch up later.
The window to get ahead of this is still open. But it won't be forever.

A roofing company using AI? Yeah. And it’s a game changer.
Here’s how I’m actually using AI in my business right now:
1. CONTENT CREATION
I use AI to help draft social media posts, blog content, and customer communications. It doesn’t replace my voice. but it gives me a starting point so I’m not staring at a blank screen for an hour.
2. CUSTOMER FOLLOW UPS
AI helps me write better follow up emails and texts after estimates. Faster response time, more personal, and I can handle more leads without dropping the ball.
3. ESTIMATING ASSISTANCE
I’m exploring AI tools that help with material takeoffs and estimate generation. It’s not perfect yet but it’s getting better fast. The time savings are real.
4. MARKETING STRATEGY
AI helped me build a 3 month content calendar with platform specific posts, hashtag strategies, and posting schedules. What would have taken a marketing agency weeks took a fraction of the time.
5. TRAINING & EDUCATION
I use AI to stay current on building codes, material specs, and industry best practices. It’s like having a research assistant available 24/7.
The trades are behind on adopting this stuff. That’s an opportunity if you’re willing to learn.
AI doesn’t replace the work. It makes the work around the work faster.
Tear-off underway on this Clermont roof replacement. Our crew is removing the old roofing system down to the deck, exposing years of wear and deterioration that needs to be addressed before the new roof goes on.

Most people don’t see the 4:50 AM alarm.
They don’t see the truck loaded at dawn.
They don’t see the calls, the estimates, the rejections.
They see the finished roof. The 5 star review. The growing company.
Building something real means showing up before anyone’s watching.
That’s the part most people skip. And it’s the only part that matters.
You have to wake up with unshakable confidence that it’s all going to work out, probably in different and better ways than you can even imagine. But in order to get the most out of it, you have to get up and get the fuck after it.
When it comes to marketing for your business, you need to have at least basic knowledge of how everything works before hiring an agency. If you don’t understand the basics, how can you ever hold them accountable. They will just show you metrics that make them look good.

We would like to thank The City of Sanford and The City of Debary for putting on two wonderful parades this weekend. We had a blast constructing and showing the floats at both events.

We have been doing daily Sales Demo role play, It has been incredibly helpful to the entire team. It is crazy how tweaking ways we say certain things can change the entire sales experience.
