@KatyDornbos I love this! From my experience (both as a teacher and student), students more easily connect with teachers when they share bits of themselves from outside of the classroom.
As the mother of a gay son, I have three comments:
1โฃMind your own business.
2โฃLove is love.
3โฃVote for equality in November.

Our (current) congressperson voted to ban birth control. To Lincoln/eastern Nebraska people, if you believe women should have the option to use birth control, VOTE.
If you werenโt concerned before, wake up and pay attention! Mike Floodโs no vote to protect a personโs right to contraception is beyond comprehension. Stand up! Speak out! Vote!
A mask mandate is back in place for city employees in Lincoln. The requirement goes into effect right away as cases continue to rise across Lancaster County.

President Biden's Executive Order builds on actions to safeguard patient privacy and access to information. Nebraska Senator Patty Pansing Brooks spoke about how the government should not interfere with the right of women to make decisions about their own bodies:
Joe Biden accidentally reads the teleprompter telling him to repeat the line. He just keeps getting worse. Do we really have 30 more months of this? Scary. And sad.
During undergrad I interned for @Patty4Nebraska for a year and saw firsthand how caring and dedicated she is to serving others. I canโt think of a better person to represent NE-01 in congress. Dont forget to vote tomorrow (or do early voting at your county election office today!)
