"The Founders' Warning: Democracy, Power, and the Survival of the American Republic” by Werner Neff
@TwBookClub@westcorkwriter Child trafficking is a topic I haven’t come across much in books. I’m interested in how this plays out for Deirdre and her dad, because the excerpt paints a good picture of how Deirdre gets involved, starting with fuzzy memories of what happened in her area as a child.

@TwBookClub@croquetmagic This is a fun plot twist on a locked-room mystery murder, with the ghost trying to solve his own murder. Very funny and clever throughout, particularly the exploration of what ghosts can do from a magician’s background.

@TwBookClub This is a part of WW2 that I'm not familiar with so it was interesting to understand more about the escapes to England in general that the author outlines in the prologue. The book sets out from the beginning of the war how this group met and their escape was planned and executed

@TwBookClub The book delves into the depths of submissives. As such it will appeal only to certain readers. I did find the writing style in the initial chapter a bit odd and it didn’t agree with me.

@TwBookClub@MorganJamesPub This is an autobiography of having faith, believing in miracles and divine intervention. The author starts by explaining that while having a cancer diagnosis God spoke to her and told her she would be fine and would write this book. This is a very religious book.

@TwBookClub I like that this is somehow based on the author’s life but also explores the metaphysical and ideas of reincarnations. However, because of this, the book may not appeal to everyone.

@TwBookClub I wasn’t expecting this book to be a work of fiction, but am pleasantly surprised. This story is set in 2055 in a dystopian future. History has been erased and rewritten and women are at the behest of men (again). I’m interested to read further.
