@oMoTonsore No defence needed. If you've followed my posts, you'll know most of them are against toxic politics, ethnic bigotry, and political cultism. I won't align with any group that demands blind loyalty over independent thinking.
@oMoTonsore Obidients ba wo. I'm loyal to economic ideas, not political cults or personalities. Critical thinkers follow principles, not blind loyalty.

This was never a major issue growing up in Lagos in the 1990s. I remember councillors and members of the Lagos State House of Assembly of South-East extraction serving without ethnicity dominating the conversation.
In my view, the politics associated with Obi's movement has amplified ethnic and religious divisions, turning differences into the centrepiece of political discourse. The sooner Nigerian politics moves beyond personality cults and identity politics and returns to ideas, competence, and governance, the healthier our democracy will be.
I believe that after the 2027 elections, the temperature will gradually come down and political debate will become more constructive.

I disagree. The current atmosphere is still shaped by the bitterness and identity politics of 2023. A consensus builder like Soludo could lower the political temperature and unite people across divides. Leadership should be about expanding your coalition, not preaching to your base. The South West doesn't need power at all costs, we can be out of power for a decade and still thrive.
At some point the NDC and @PeterObi would need to publicly dissociate from this. You’re not winning elections in Nigeria like this and this is coming from me who doesn’t rate 99.99% of Nigeria religious leaders
Imagine what Father Ebube Muonso was doing at the altar of God.
When we say, Peter Obi played religious politics, some people think it is hate. But it is the truth.
Imagine if Papa Adeboye did this for Tinubu. Nigeria for scatter lol 😆
“Yesterday our people exercised their right to protest, which is enshrined in our Constitution. The demonstrations were largely peaceful and we applaud that.”
