No. If anything, comments like his only confirm what I’ve long believed about the Catholic Church: it often advocates one set of rules for everyone else while operating under a very different reality behind its own walls. Scripture affirms nations and borders—not erasing them. This is just political virtue-signaling dressed up as theology. Meanwhile the Vatican’s own walls stay fortified. Hypocrisy, not Holy Writ.

Remind us how much money is held by the Catholic Church? The value of the jewels in your crown and your carriage? How high the walls of the Vatican stand? How many illegal immigrants live behind these walls? Government should not use taxpayer funds on charities. We, as individuals, should donate to causes as we wish.
