Fiscal deficit is the realest debt indicator in our public finance system.
Ndindi Nyoro as budget chair passed 2 budgets i.e F.Y 23 & 24 , the deficit in these two budgets was 5.2% & 4.9%.
Sam Atandi has done one budget so far with a deficit of 4.2 %.
Of these two chairman, who should we take a lecture from on fiscal discpline ?

Great Cities like London, Cape Town, Melbourne, New York, Toronto, Vienna et al are great because they have world class Universities, Schools, Theaters, uninterrupted power & water supply, Museums & proper urban planning that provides for arboretums, open spaces & sports facilities. Polo playing is an elite sport & elevates the culture of a city. If true that Nairobi Polo grounds are being converted into commercial building, it will be indeed a sad day in the life of Nairobi. Without Polo & horse racing, Nairobi City will be competing with Kinshasa, Freetown, Mogadishu et al on failed cities of Africa. Sophisticated culture like polo playing is the soul of Great Cities. Don’t destroy Nairobi City with commercial buildings!
