@ajpags It's complicated for sure. There are SO MANY standards bodies that all want to make the best, most long lived, standard that there are many very good alternatives. Then you also have the custom boys that love to make an extra buck along the way as well! Decision paralysis!
Would be nice to be able to pick up a cable from the end table and know that it'll charge the current mobile device I'd like to charge π

Oh my ... I realize that being a politician requires a bit of bending the facts. It's actually entertaining to see those bent facts so very clearly, not even the slightest bit of cover up attempted. π€ͺ
@PowerstancePino Nick, I noticed your review of the Google Home devices. I was wondering if you had an "in" to their tech team that may be interested in fixing a very reproducible problem when owners have multiple devices? https://t.co/d2Z9AgeD7E
So, TLDR; TSB requires it's customers to kill trees to the tune of β¬525 which are then thrown into the rubbish bin all for data that is MOST DEFINITELY already online and would cost pennies to email to me or make available via their web portal. @permanenttsb

In the course of working with Immigration here in Ireland, there is a "points" system in which you're required to have a certain number of "points" in order to "verify" that you've lived in Ireland for n number of years (for me, let's say it's 5).
Yup. So I did the calculation and I will need to fork over ~ β¬175 for my partner and myself ... and then MULTIPLY for both children. That's about β¬525 for, most likely, a couple of TREES worth of paper, that I will then be required to SCAN and THROW AWAY.
. @SwissDisk , are there any standard file mgmt protocols that can be used to manipulate files on one's swissdisk? Such as ssh/scp/sftp/ftps/etc ?
thanks!
@SwissDisk Lovely! Is there a FAQ document with the endpoints/authentication info described for the lay-person? And could I get a copy of that document? Thanks!
