It is interesting how they think exactly the opposite. Everyone seems to be in agreement that whatever the call was, it was wrong and the US was the victim of a terrible decision.
The American will say “fuck that” & move heaven & earth (provided it’s important enough) to fix it.
And Europeans are bewildered by the audacity of the American in seeking to overturn the unjust outcome. How dare you not simply accept being screwed over! Accepting the unjust outcome with a sigh is their only option.
Great example of something that captures a major cultural difference in how America sees the world vs Europe.
