Said Mansour Rezk Abdelrazek, an Egyptian Christian convert who, after months of detention and interrogation by Egypt’s State Security Prosecution, has now been referred to trial before the First Criminal Terrorism Circuit Court in Badr commencing on April 21, 2026.

At issue is not merely due process, but the reality that a religious conversion is being prosecuted as an act of terrorism.

Please take prompt action and sign our letter which will directly be delivered into the inbox of Hon. Tony Burke, Australia's Minister for Home Affairs. Ask him to grant Said a humanitarian visa so that he can be reunited with his fiance, an Australian national. Ask him to negotiate Said's release with the Egyptian government, and at a minimum, to send a representative to attend Said's hearing on April 21st. Link to the letter is in the comments.

We need action, not just empty words. When we announce or share something, we need everyone to take action, whether it’s a repost, share, or actually doing something like calling representatives and emailing authorities. When authorities are overwhelmed with a flood of emails with the same concern or case, they are compelled to act, especially in cases that truly need their help, such as an unjust death penalty for changing one’s religion (which is against international human rights) or someone’s life being taken because of their conversion to Christianity , if the ruler decides to orchestrate it and proceed with the execution.
