⚡If operating a generator, locate it outside and away from windows/doors/vents + power coming into the home should always be disconnected to prevent power from the generator going back onto utility lines, creating a dangerous situation for workers. More: https://t.co/Nck6Vi5cSU
Crews have continued to make progress throughout the day, having now restored approximately 94% of the 52,000 customers affected by last night's storms. JCP&L crews, joined by hundreds of contractors, will continue their around-the-clock efforts overnight -
Estimated restoration times are available at: https://t.co/Ex6hTlXB2Z and will continue to be updated as crews make progress on repairs. The majority of the damage is tree-related, making for some of the most time-consuming, labor-intensive repairs.

@shaedaniels608 Hi Shae,
If you haven't done so already, please call 888-544-4877 or 9-1-1 to report downed wires. Treat all downed wires as live and dangerous and stay at least 30 feet away until a trouble crew has investigated the issue. Stay safe and thank you for your patience.
After a storm, we first clear hazards like downed lines. Once it's safe, we assess damage so our crews can make repairs. Then:
1️⃣ High-voltage lines that provide electricity to local lines
2️⃣ Public service facilities
3️⃣ Outages with the most customers
4️⃣ Individual customers
