@HfNexttoplshf @drraja_ Unfortunately that search tool doesn't actually only return salaried GP job roles. Try filtering by 'medial / dental' in staff group, or even just sorting the results and you'll unfortunately see how few roles there are.
I'm seeing a lot of negativity at the mo. However, as a med student, with 5 weeks to finals, I'm still loving placement. I can't wait to start work. I really enjoy going in each day. And a bonus that I'll even get paid for it. What a priviledge. #MedTwitter
@AvantiWestCoast any chance Beeky the Ostrich was found in coach U, 07:09 from Lichfield Trent Valley to Euston this morning?
Has a green label saying Beekse Bergen on
I'm sure he's having great adventures like we did on our day in the Big Smaoke but someone's missing him
@dickandtinasson@OGdukeneurosurg Sure, there's some presentation where empathy is less important but I have seen some of the greatest empathy in resus. I don't have a lot of medical experience. I'm getting there. I do have life experience. I hope I never lose empathy
@dickandtinasson@OGdukeneurosurg They want to be listened to, understood, have their doctor understand what their illness is doing to them as an individual. Only once you have that information can you assist them - that might be fixing or saving. It might not. Medicine is surely about providing 'medical care'.
@ShaunLintern For people wanting urgent appointments, give them the opportunity to go and sit at a clinic waiting room in case. The number of no shows and cancellations or Dr realising in the morning that the patient was double booked. I've seen so many. Maybe 1 in 4 or 5?
@KateBurkeNHS @ShaunLintern This is one thing that as a 'medical student with life experience' I simply don't get. Makes no real difference to an F1 but for thr people writing those guidelines - what a waste of v expensive time! This would have been banned in the 'real world' years ago
@Rosemary_Murphy@MarionDyer18 I am also one of the only students I know taking paper notes. Most don't take any and a few take onto computer/tablet. I handwrite then write up in evening, to cement. Med student, 44 3/4
Not sure I've got enough visibility for this to work but worth a go - there was a post on here at the start of the week about GP practices being judged on patient feedback. Can anyone direct me to it? TIA
Calling all health professionals with an interest in Parkinson's -sign up for our Parkinson's MDT 2 day course in Derby on October 21/22 in Derby - sponsored by @ParkinsonsEN. Discounts if you come with another team member! https://t.co/LZ4No6SYYy
@AliJaneMoore@ERunswickBMA@BMA_James_Steen I may be one of those who drops out next year... I'm already factoring in not being able to take up a position due to the lack of flexibility in allocation system and having children. I hope anyone who drops out does because they want to, not that they have no choice
@Littlemiss8653@OrthopodReg I'm about to go into final year - started course at 39, took year off for second baby. Will be few months of 46 when a graduate. Thoroughly recommend!
Children's ED, week one of Child Health placement, magnificent lecture (I finally understand congenital heart defects) I've had a great med student wee!k!
But being a Mum? I've failed miserably this week. Here's to a better weekend... #medstudent
