@MikeRJohnson55 @missypurcell1 Just as the adults begin to learn through due process and state complaints that there are legal consequences for their action or inaction. Except the child is protected legally by their IEP and it’s up to the adults to follow it. 🤷‍♀️

@coachcates @missypurcell1 When we deal with this only at the admin level, we who are well-resourced are only solving a problem for our own kid— and admin does a great job of muting us. When we speak out publicly, less resourced parents begin to understand that their children, too, have rights.

@Curtainwardrobe @missypurcell1 Children with IEPs are expected to work as hard as children without one. Perhaps consider that an IEP is constructed to give a child supports so that when they work as hard as other students, they are also successful.

@missypurcell1 @karr_pe I have found Descript to be handy for converting audio. Having a transcript makes it easy to search by keyword so you can write, for example:“at 45:34 you stated that you were unable to collect the legally required data for assessing IEP goal progress.”

@TizzyEnt If RCMP hasn’t “found” them yet, it’s b/c they don’t want to. My guess is they know exactly who it is. In my small town we don’t even have good police coverage but people can tell you who owned my boat 30 years before I did and what fishing territory conflicts it was involved in.
