@chefarchiepie@UnitedOpinion99@woyteck1 Calling that a sous vide in principle is like saying driving your car down the M6 makes you a Formula one driver in principle
@SneakyJay17 @Tgarratt10 Not sure I agree with that, I think there’s still plenty of credit in the bank for him. he’s done a good job, but I think it’s fair to be asking questions on whether he can push them to the next level, given they’re stalling in a season where city have dropped off a cliff.
@artisanrocky@JamieCamm@CantonaManc I think fergie would have either shipped him off by now, or got him totally in line, either way he wouldn’t have tolerated his performances
@JamieCamm@CantonaManc Why shouldn’t he be happy Rashford is leaving? He embodies everything that’s been wrong with united since fergie left.
“Hard work beats talent, when talent doesn’t work hard.”
@cliffsoccerzone@piersmorgan Artetas specific problem was that he was asked a justified question around whether his team should be winning more trophies given they’ve challenged for the league, and his response was to count the charity shield, which is just a bit disingenuous and makes him look silly
@cliffsoccerzone@piersmorgan The vast majority of people in England would agree it’s not a trophy that should be counted as a major honour, it’s a glorified pre season friendly… any coach who counts it as a trophy should rightfully be made fun of, whether that’s arteta, mourinho or guardiola
@cliffsoccerzone@piersmorgan Well, technically it’s exactly the same thing… as both counted the charity shield as a meaningful trophy.
But Mourinho was (rightly) ridiculed for it, as Arteta deserves to be.
@TheIndGroup@jamesrbuk I think you should be careful to not assume the British and the American electorate are similar, given the British electorate overwhelmingly favoured a left leaning labour government, and also to be careful not to take twitter as representative of the majority of people’s views.
@UTD_Ronnie_ I’d be happier if he took a wage reduction if they do decide to extend.
But we’ll see what Amorim thinks, he’ll work out fairly quickly if he sees him as a long term option.
@UTD_Ronnie_ I don’t remember the level of PR you’ve referenced, and to be clear, I’m not a maguire fan, I just think he’s gone through a tough spot and still fights, and in the middle of a back 3 is actually a solid player.
We’ll see what Amorim thinks, he seems to be a good judge so far
@defendermaguire@Markary13@EmmanuelSenu@UnitedStandMUFC@JamieJackson___ But he isn’t having a good season… he contributes almost nothing other than moments.
Doesn’t press, doesn’t link play, doesn’t fight, doesn’t run.
He’s got absolutely no hunger on the pitch at all, to be honest it looks like he doesn’t want to be there.
@UTD_Ronnie_ Compare that with some of the other players who have had bad spells, and the level of moping and complaining publicly, I honestly don’t think Maguire getting an extension is bad at all.
@UTD_Ronnie_ Imagine the character it takes to go through the depths he has over the last few years to not complain and still be fighting every day in training to the point Amorim wants him to start in the derby and pockets the best 9 in the league.
I’m impressed with him personally.
